This brand-new setting focuses on providing a nurturing, trauma-informed education to children and young people aged 11–16 with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Key Responsibilities: Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for SEN students. Provide targeted one-on-one and small group support to promote learning and engagement. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student development. Support the implementation and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Track and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to teaching staff and parents. Help create educational materials and resources to enhance lessons. Work collaboratively with the wider school team to ensure a consistent and supportive approach. Qualifications and Experience: Relevant qualifications or substantial experience in a Teaching Assistant role, ideally within a SEN setting. Strong understanding of special educational needs and inclusive education strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to providing a nurturing and supportive learning environment. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team. Minimum of a grade C (Level 5) GCSE in English and Maths.
