Responsibilities
You will be an advocate of Mace's value of safety first, and be accountable for leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability and project compliance standards.
* You will possess technical expertise in local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio.
* You will champion a diverse and inclusive working environment, and understand the importance of the wellbeing of the people you manage.
Client focus - Deliver on our promise:
* You will work as part of the senior construction delivery team, taking direction from construction lead and project senior leadership team, providing guidance to wider team.
* You will build relationships to manage and influence senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
* You will build a strong working relationship with your clients, and support the construction lead in turning the client's vision into a deliverable onsite plan.

* You will work to ensure that budgets and other operations are fiscally and ethically viable, and meet organisational and legislative compliance obligations.
* You will support the senior construction delivery team in influencing the long term development of strategy for a function or Business Unit (BU), creating a sustainable business future.
Requirements:
* Detailed knowledge of construction methodology, process and inherent safety involved.
* Proven experience in managing multiple large packages of work.
* Planning and budget management experience.
* Sound technical expertise in HSE regulations.
* Experience in a site based managerial role (or equivalent).
* SMSTS and managerial/professional CSCS card (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) (Construction Skills Certificate Scheme).
You'll also have:
* Good understanding of programme, critical path and commissioning strategy.
* Experience leading parts of construction projects within large, diverse teams.
* Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
