We are seeking a Clinical Lead Dietitian to work with our Forensic service, covering in-patient wards at the Newsam Centre and Clifton House. The successful candidate will have a small dietetic caseload, with a focus on consultation/triage work, making recommendations to guide future nutritional interventions for the multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include educating service users and staff about nutrition and wellbeing, supporting service development and training opportunities within the service, and working flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about the role of dietetics in mental health services, motivated to make a positive impact, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Main Duties of the Job
The post holder will be responsible for building on the dietetic continuous improvement work started across the Forensic services, working closely with the Forensics physical health team and leadership teams on both sites. Staff and service user nutrition training will be key to this role, empowering cultural change around nutrition, physical health, and wellbeing.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* A relevant core professional qualification in Dietetics, such as a degree or post-graduate diploma.
Knowledge
* Knowledge and understanding of mental health principles and practices.
Experience
* Dietetics experience in a mental health setting, including risk management and assessment.
