Associate Design Engineer (Civil / Structural Engineer)
Location: Ipswich or Norwich - plus Hybrid working
Remote working considered on a case by case basis.
Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 negotiable dependant on level of experience plus package including profit share bonuses.
Summary
A successful multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced and motivated Civil / Structural Engineering professional to join their team.
Based in their Ipswich or Norwich office with plenty of opportunity for hybrid working, this role is ideal for individuals with a background in an engineering consultancy environment who are ready to take on their next challenge.
Working on predominantly rail civils, and to a smaller degree, civils structures projects such as platforms, canopies, bridges, buildings, and retaining walls.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage projects from initial concept through to the construction phase.
* Perform and oversee design work related to highways, rail, and private sector projects.
* Attend client and site meetings as needed.
* Conduct surveys and site inspections.
* Assist with staff training and mentor trainees and graduates.
Seeking someone with:
* Experience in structural engineering in a relevant industry (e.g., Rail, Civils, Highways, Structures, Marine).
* UK based experience.
* Civil / Structural Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to follow and interpret instructions clearly.
* Track record of delivering projects through all design stages and construction.
* Full driving license.
Ideally:
* Professionally qualified with the ICE or IStructE.
* UK experience on similar projects.
* Experience of acting as CRE.
