Our client, a leading consultancy in the environmental sector, is seeking a skilled and motivated EIA/Consenting Consultant to join their team in Edinburgh on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a few years of experience in consultancy, looking to make an impact in the renewable energy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Technical Director (EIA) in managing complex projects, including Wind and Solar Farms across the UK.
* Assist in the preparation and management of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), planning applications, and consent applications.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project timelines, quality, and compliance are met.
* Contribute to the development of environmental strategies and mitigation measures.
* Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure projects progress smoothly and efficiently.
* Provide technical advice and input on environmental matters throughout the project lifecycle.
Ideal Candidate:
* A few years of experience working within an environmental consultancy or similar role, with exposure to EIA and consenting processes.
* Strong understanding of UK environmental regulations and planning policy, especially in relation to renewable energy projects (Wind and Solar).
* Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
* A relevant degree in Environmental Science, Geography, or a related field.
