Aramark UK is currently recruiting a Regional Executive Chef to join the UK business specifically aligned to our Justice & Immigration business area. This role is hybrid with regular travel across the Midlands, the Home Counties, London and the South East. Reporting to our Director of Operations, your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the operations teams to deliver high quality food consistently through culinary support, food safety guidance and team development. The role requires leadership and direction to be given to culinary teams across 30 sites to increase quality and efficiency. The individual will work closely with multiple key stakeholders to deliver the key objectives. We are open to meeting candidates stepping into their first regional role as long as they have the credibility to influence the wider teams and the right mindset. To be considered for this role, please note the following: You must have lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years There will be full security vetting prior to appointment What’s in it for you: A salary of £46,000 - £50,000 (DOE) Pension scheme Life assurance Generous annual leave that increases in line with service, with the opportunity to purchase more Employee assistance programme, available for free 24/7 Access to a network of trained mental health champions Access to deals and discounts from many organisations Many opportunities to try out the culinary genius of our teams Key responsibilities: Ensuring quality and consistency of offer is delivered across sites Planning, training and execution of new food and beverage offers Support in the creation and delivery of Standard Operating Processes where necessary Producing training and operational materials / aids for new and existing teams Auditing to ensure standards / portion controls are followed Understanding food costs and associated effects - driving labour and margin savings Provide leadership and advice to the onsite culinary leads in all capacities Feeding back to senior stakeholders, when required Driving company food safety / health and safety standards across all sites Key requirements: 5 years of experience operating at a senior level within a catering environment would be ideal Multi-site experience (Area Management / Operational Chef) Results orientated with proven ability to drive the business A strong understanding of food safety and back-of-house management A passion for training low-skilled food service teams and bringing on the next generation of young cooks / chefs Excellent people management skills, with the ability to motivate Effective communicator and influencer If you are applying for this role and you already work for Aramark, you must notify your line manager before submitting your application.
