Job Title: Managing Practitioner – Children with Disabilities Team
Contract: Permanent
Salary: HC10 £43,421 - £47,420 (plus market supplement of £5,000 per year £48,421 - £52,420)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Welcome payment: £5,000 after 6 months completion in post
Relocation package: up to £10,000 available

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Children with Disabilities Service for this role. The Managing Practitioner within the Children with Disabilities Team (CWD) is a development role, responsible for the supervision of Family Support Workers and Personal Advisors, as well as supporting Newly Qualified Social Workers and students. You will contribute to the development of disability awareness and associated services within Children’s Services and with partner agencies.
You will hold a protected caseload and work with children and families who have complex additional needs. You will work across agencies and support families in navigating health, social care, and education systems. You will support children and young people who need protection, including children in care and care leavers.
You will be fully qualified (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent), with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in statutory social care, and possess skills in assessment, report writing, and managing a complex caseload. You will be dedicated to improving the lives of children and families within Herefordshire.
