About the role:
As a member of the Prevention & Restorative Justice (PRJ) Team, you will play a crucial role in assessing, managing, and delivering interventions aimed at preventing offending among children and young people. This role requires a strong commitment to restorative justice principles, effective case management, and the ability to design and implement tailored interventions. About you:
Previous experience in youth justice, or a related area working with at-risk youth. Understanding of restorative justice principles, youth offending, and the criminal justice system.
Strong assessment, case management, and intervention delivery skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Empathy, patience, resilience, and a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of young people.
What you will do:
Conduct assessments to evaluate the needs, risks, and protective factors of children
and young people. Working closely with families, schools, social services, and other
agencies to ensure a holistic approach to assessments.
Create personalised intervention plans based on assessment outcomes to address specific needs and reduce offending behaviours. Developing and implementing interventions tailored to the unique needs and circumstances of each young person.
Manage a caseload of children and young people, ensuring timely and effective intervention delivery, whilst maintaining accurate records Conduct one-on-one sessions with children and young people to address specific issues and support their development.
Represent the interests and needs of children and young people in multi-agency meetings.
