About the Role
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This role has a strong focus on Accounts Receivable, alongside managing the cashbook, reconciliations, and other general accounts duties. You will also provide valuable support through ad-hoc administrative tasks, contributing to the smooth running of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and process accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently
* Maintain and update the cashbook daily
* Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations
* Assist with general accounts duties such as invoicing, credit control, and payment processing
* Support month-end and year-end financial activities
* Provide ad-hoc administrative support to the finance team and other departments as needed
* Communicate with customers regarding outstanding payments and resolve queries promptly
About You
* Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar finance role, with a focus on accounts receivable
* Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Reliable and committed to working in-office Monday to Friday, 9-5
