Position
Location: Remote-based opportunities - with occasional travel for learner observations and meetings
Vacancy Locations: South West, Devon, Hampshire, Surrey, Cambridge, Yorkshire, and Midlands
Following the success of our first cohort of Trainee Personal Tutors, we are looking for our second cohort to join us at the end of summer 24, so why not apply now to be part of the next group of trainees.
As a Graduate/Trainee Personal Tutor, you will develop your training knowledge by completing our training programme and learn the skills to effectively deliver innovative and impactful learning to all learners. While using your industry experience, knowledge, and passion for your chosen sector, you will support a growing diverse caseload of learners as they progress through their qualifications.
Key elements of this role involve:
1. Participating in the Graduate Personal Tutor training programme and completing professional qualifications including AiET and TAQA
2. Motivating and driving learners to achieve their work-based qualifications through outstanding teaching and learning
3. Maintaining a growing caseload of learners
4. Encouraging further progression for our learners onto high-level qualifications
5. Completing impactful and consistent progressive visits and reviews with learners and employers
6. Ensuring learners are fully ready with a completed portfolio
7. Supporting learners to feel confident at the EPA Gateway
8. Continuously developing own capability and sharing best practices with peers
9. Adhering to GDPR regulations and all internal information and data security policies and procedures
Requirements
What we need from you:
1. Minimum of Level 2 Functional Skills in English, Maths, and ICT
2. Minimum of Level 3 in vocational area for role and relevant occupational experience
3. Full UK Driving Licence, access to a car, and ability to travel and conduct learner observations
4. Ideally Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care
5. Experience of working within the industry e.g., Health and Social Care at a senior or managerial level
6. Experience of delivering or engaging in training activity or knowledge sharing with colleagues
7. Experience of achieving targets and deadlines set without close supervision
8. Effective interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal and written
9. Knowledge of Equality, Diversity, and Safeguarding
10. Strong personal drive and the ability to manage own time and meet challenges in a positive way
11. Flexible and adaptable to change with the ability to learn new skills
12. Self-motivated with the ability to plan own workload and diary effectively
