Finance Business Partner
Working options: office-based with optional rotational remote working in line with divisional requirements

What we’re looking for:
We want our Finance Business Partner to operate as the focal point for group reporting, budgeting and forecasting across the Digital Hub. You’ll also deputise for the Senior Finance Business Partner, so you’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, specifically Brown & Brown (Europe).
You’ll produce and provide an insight into daily MI across our Digital Hub, as well as managing financial planning, reporting and analytical activities, so you’ll need to have an excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail in all areas.
You’ll be producing financial reports and schedules for the preparation of final audited accounts, liaising with the Company’s auditors and be the technical reference point for in-house accountants across the Digital Hub, so you’ll need to have an awareness of up-to-date financial reporting standards and relevant guidance and accounting procedures. Having knowledge of US GAAP would also be advantageous.
You'll also be responsible for the daily management of the Management Accounts team, providing guidance, advice and feedback to them and others in similar roles, so excellent leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teammates is essential.
Our Finance Business Partner will also need to have the ability to act as a business ambassador for the finance function ensuring adherence to the HFIS cultural values.
Some of the duties will include:
* Independently operate as the focal point for group (BB Europe)
* Preparing budgets and forecasts along with full financial variance analysis across the Digital Hub
* Managing financial planning, reporting and analytical activities across the Digital Hub
* Producing financial reports and/or schedules for the preparation of final audited accounts and liaising with auditors
* Daily line management of the Management Accounts team
* Preparing month end financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows/working, variance analysis and commentaries
* Working with the finance team to ensure swift month-end
* Overseeing of general ledger and support for purchase and sales ledgers
* Carrying out efficiency and productivity reviews across the Digital Hub
* Carrying out cost benefit analysis and overhead reviews across the Digital Hub
* Working alongside the IBA Lead at HFIS and leading on system improvements
* Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of all BB Europe group monthly and quarterly financial information in the format agreed by the Group Board
* Training, educating and mentoring teammates
* Supporting on special and ad-hoc projects
We’d like you to have:
* A recognised financial or appropriate business qualification (e.g ACCA, CIMA)
* A minimum of 5 years business experience, ideally gained within an accountancy practice and/or financial services with a focus on operations
* Proven experience in delivering set targets and projects on time
* Ability to analyse, manipulate and interpret data quickly and communicate results effectively
* Familiarity and experience with accounting systems, preferably Oracle, Dynamics, Netsuite or Workday
* Sound IT skills particularly with the Microsoft Office suite
