Opening: CNC MACHINIST (swing shift)
City: KENT, WA

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
1. Run manual and CNC lathe and milling machines.
2. Setup and use manual machining equipment, hand tools, measuring equipment.
3. Capable of reading and understanding outside and inside micrometers, vernier calipers, veneer height and depth gauges.
4. Perform light maintenance of equipment as needed.
5. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
6. Layout, measure and mark metal stock in order to display placement of cuts.
7. Align/secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials onto machines.
8. Independently setup and operate various mills and/or lathes.
9. Monitor the speeds and feeds of machines during the machining process.
10. Measure, examine and test completed parts in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:
1. $56,000-72,000 per year to start, DOE.
2. $1.50 per hour shift differential for swing shift.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. 2 to 5 years' experience (more preferred) with manual and/or CNC machines (mills and lathes).
3. Familiarity with FAA regulations and requirements preferred.
4. Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints.
5. Familiarity with aerospace industry regulations is preferred.
6. Able to read, understand, and follow aircraft manuals and other directions written in the English language.
