Job overview
The main purpose of the Colposcopy Failsafe Manager post is to oversee failsafe responsibilities for the NHS National Cervical Screening Programme for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust delivered at Wycombe Hospital in collaboration with the administrative and clinical staff.
The Colposcopy Failsafe Manager will facilitate and support with reports, audits and manage the colposcopy administrative team.
The post holder will:
* work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure our patients on colposcopy pathways receive timely diagnosis and treatment.
* manage all colposcopy pathways to ensure failsafe activities are quality assured and performance managed according to local and national policies, protocols and standards.
* identify blockages and opportunities as individual patients move through the system.
* support and comply with reporting ensuring effective communication with other agencies, and timely failsafe activities service in relation to patients referred by the National Cervical Screening Programme.
* provide day to day management to colposcopy administrative team and support to clinical team to ensure flow of patients through the system.

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge
* Ability to analyse and interpret data.
* Knowledge of audits and evaluation of findings.

Education, Qualifications, Training
* Education and training to degree level or equivalent.

Experience
* Experience as Health Service Manager or Health Professional in the acute sector.
* Experience of managing administrative and support staff in a team setting.
* Experience of working with staff in a diversity of roles (i.e. admin, clerical, technical, clinical).

* Robust, with experience of being able to balance competing priorities and meet personal and directorate targets within a fluctuating and demanding workload.

* Willing to travel between sites and throughout Bucks, as required by the post.
