Consultant Physician in Genitourinary and HIV Medicine

About Axess Sexual Health:
Axess Liverpool delivers approximately 83,000 patient contacts annually, providing open access sexual health clinics 6 days a week. Our comprehensive services cater to a wide range of needs, with specialist clinics for Young People, HIV, PrEP, Men who have sex with men (MSM), Trans and Non-Binary People, Long Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC), Complex Contraception, Genital Dermatology, and Sexual Problems.
The Role:
We are looking for three Consultants with expertise in Genitourinary Medicine and integrated sexual health, including the management of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and outpatient HIV clinics. You’ll play a key role in shaping clinical care, contributing to the Clinical Governance programme, and having the opportunity to get involved in exciting research – supported by our dedicated research lead and research nurse.
You’ll be based at the Linda McCartney Centre at Royal Liverpool Hospital, with clinical sessions also offered at Axess Wirral (community HIV unit in Birkenhead and integrated sexual health services in Birkenhead and Wallasey). This is a full-time, 10 PA Consultant Physician position within the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, part of the NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group.
What We’re Looking For:
* MRCP or equivalent qualification
* Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent
* Specialist registration with the GMC in Genitourinary Medicine, or due to complete CCT within 6 months of the interview/appointment
