Credit Controller job - £32000 per annum - Freight Forwarding - High Volume - Growing Business - Feltham

Your new role
The main objective of the role is to perform a first-class credit control service for business. You will have a wide customer base, which is often geographically dispersed with multiple touchpoints for some customers. Invoice volumes are high, and this role will be responsible for circa 300 live accounts with a value of approx £2.5m.
Your roles include :
1. Credit control processes include debt chasing, cash allocation and cashiering.
2. Prioritises accounts to be chased
3. Standard debt chasing includes chasing by telephone, e-mail or letter
4. Complex debt chasing, e.g. high-volume account for an overseas customer with disputed debt and language barriers or high-volume account for a multinational with contacts geographically dispersed or small-volume account with missing contact details
5. Deals promptly with customers' written and verbal queries
6. Ensure credit limits are set on all accounts and updated on a regular basis
7. Reporting of overdue debt with reasons and actions
8. Ensure new accounts are approved correctly and appropriate documents such as Standard Terms & Conditions are issued promptly
9. Manage notification of companies in administration or with cash flow difficulties as appropriate
What you'll need to succeed
10. Minimum three years’ experience of credit control and cash posting
11. Effective liaison across the business at all management levels
12. Ability to work in a focussed manner towards individual targets and deadlines
13. Effective communication skills – verbal, written and good telephone manners are essential.
14. IT Literate – fully competent with MS Word and Excel (e.g. vlookup / pivot table function and some basic formulas)
15. Works well within a team and individually
