About the Client:

Our client is excited to launch a new childcare provision in Huddersfield and are seeking a passionate Registered Children's Home Manager to join the team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in establishing and shaping the home, making a real impact on the lives of young people aged 8-18 years.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the daily management of the home in line with Children's Home Regulations and Ofsted standards.
* Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, taking responsibility for child protection issues.
* Lead and develop a team, fostering high standards of care and compliance.
* Collaborate with external agencies to ensure tailored plans and support for young people.
* Manage budgets and ensure financial and operational efficiency.
* Ensure accurate and thorough record-keeping and reporting.
* Maintain a safe, positive environment, promoting health, safety, and well-being.
Qualifications:
* QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or working towards).
* QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent).
Experience:
* Minimum 3 years in residential care and 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
* Knowledge of Children's Act, Care Standards Act, and safeguarding practices.
Skills:
* Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
* Budget management and auditing experience.
* Emotional resilience and ability to handle challenging situations.
Enhanced DBS check and evidence-based knowledge of Regulation 44 and 45 reporting.
Full UK driving licence.
Schedule:
* Monday to Friday, Day shifts
* Flexibility to participate in the on-call rota.
