Project Director - Miecznik
Based in Crawley - Hybrid working with 25% international travel in Europe

Our Opportunity
Above Water Systems (AWS) provide integrated combat management systems and services for naval surface ships in the UK and internationally have a great opportunity for a Project Director for the Miecznik Programme
You will be responsible for the successful delivery of the Miecznik Frigate program which is the delivery of the Integrated Combat System of three Arrowhead 140 (Type31) frigates into the Polish Armaments Agency, were we are delivering and integrating both Thales and third-party effectors and sensors.
You will be responsible for the management of relationships with internal and external UK and international customers and the use of highly developed networking and influencing skills to ensure that Thales delivers the right project outcomes at the right time and to the right cost and quality.
This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held; if not currently held it is expected that the post holder will undergo SC Clearance, please visit the UKSV website for further guidance.
About You
You will have an outstanding track-record of leading large teams in successfully delivering high value complex bids and projects with a particular focus on project setup and turnaround.
You must demonstrate being versatile, resilient, mobile, enjoy variety, be capable of sustaining a high tempo and consistently making a real impact on delivery performance together with the following:-
* The ability to adapt leadership style to achieve the desired results from interactions with team members and stakeholders
* The ability to provide strategic overview and direction to drive the successful delivery of projects across complex multi-faceted organisational and stakeholder boundaries
* Successfully delivering complex bids and projects (£300M+), covering the whole lifecycle from bid to project closure and a broad range of project types (Design & Development, Service & Support and Transformation.)
* Developing and implementing successful project management strategies in a complex, multi-faceted organisation
* Delivering projects across international boundaries
