Job Purpose
Ulster University has partnered with University College London to secure funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) to establish a Centre for Doctoral Training in Digital Health Technologies (tech4health). Recruiting 75 PhD researchers, the £11.7m Centre will train the next generation of digital health researchers and innovators who will develop and advance the future state of digital health technologies. Established as one single centre hosted across Ulster University and UCL, the centre will provide specialist training for researchers and innovators in digital health technologies for the community-acute care (home-hospital) ecosystem.
The Ulster tech4health Centre Manager will act as the first point of contact for the CDT activities at Ulster and will play a key role in its strategic development and operational delivery. They will provide leadership in day-to-day professional services activities across the Centre and Project-manage collaborations with internal (Ulster) and external (academic, industry, charity, hospital) partners. The post holder will report to the Ulster academic lead on the project and will involve working closely with our counterparts at University College London (e.g. UCL academic lead and UCL CDT Centre Manager).
The post is based in the School of Engineering, Ulster University Belfast Campus and will involve inter-school/department collaboration with colleagues from the School of Computing and the School of Nursing and Paramedic Science as well as with the Ulster Doctoral College.
