Hours: Full-Time
Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
About this opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Relationship Manager to join the hard-working and successful Agriculture Team in SME Banking. We provide outstanding support for local businesses by offering the funding, support and encouragement they need to grow.
Supporting the Agricultural sector, you'll have responsibility for a portfolio of circa 102 client groups, typically turning over between £500k & £20m. The portfolio is Yorkshire based, with the majority of clients based around York and North & East Yorkshire.
The Agricultural sector is going through a significant amount of change right now, and we're looking for someone who understands the Agricultural industry and can provide support and guidance to help clients grow and to mitigate key business risks. Sustainability and helping clients to transition to net zero will be a key area of focus.
What would you be doing?
* Providing excellent service to our Clients, putting them at the heart of what you do, adding value at every interaction and becoming a “trusted advisor”.
* Promoting the bank with professionals and key influencers through your knowledge of the local market.
* Providing a range of funding solutions to our clients from our Term Lending and Working Capital product range tailoring them to Client needs.
* Building relationships with Group Partner companies and through them bring the whole bank to the client delivering products to meet their needs.
* Handling the risk and compliance of your client portfolio.
What you'll need:
* Great Commercial/Relationship Management experience with a strong lending capability.
* Ability to assess credit risk of corporate clients and strong analytical skills to shape deals and win new business.
* Extensive connections in the professional space, demonstrating how you're wired into local networks for business development opportunities.
* Highly proficient at building and maintaining productive relationships with external professionals and adept at winning high-value new client relationships.
* Specialist credit and Agricultural sector knowledge, along with proficiency in using digital tools to deliver excellent client experiences.
* Ability to identify ways to grow income, balance sheet, and market share while handling associated risks.
