We offer support, resources and specialist advice to communities and partners across a wide range of topic areas connected to rural community life. About the role We have a short-term vacancy to join our team to manage the remaining delivery of our New Life on the Old West (NLOW) project. This is a project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund until the end of September 2025. As we enter the final months of the project’s delivery, we will be looking to consolidate and share our learning with a range of audiences so we leave a lasting legacy. Alongside our Natural Heritage and Communities Officer, you will work with partners, communities and landowners to ensure the successful delivery of the NLOW project by co-ordinating habitat improvements (obtaining any consents required and overseeing all works), ensuring robust monitoring of results, disseminating information and creating opportunities for local people to learn about and connect with the diverse Fenland natural landscape. We are therefore seeking an experienced project manager, capable of working with multiple partners to deliver this complex project. Knowledge of biodiversity and experience of the delivery of habitat enhancements is crucial, as is experience of working with landowners, community groups and volunteers and of employing biodiversity monitoring tools/techniques and analysing data.
