Experience - HNC/D in civil, electrical, mechanical or process engineering or equivalent level qualification - Process Safety/Hazard Management - CDM Regulations 2015 (for Designers preferred). - Demonstrable experience commensurate to the level of the role, preferably within the water/wastewater industry or other relevant sector. - Experience in working within a design and build environment. - IT literate with an ability to use a wide range of IT packages including Microsoft Office. - Well-developed interpersonal skills. - Strong attention to detail. - Strong communication skills, both written and oral. - Commercial acumen. - Ability to work on multiple tasks. - Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. - Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Job Responsibilities To comply with company procedures and work instructions, guide notes and other information that forms part of the quality assurance, health and safety and environmental management systems. To co-ordinate multi-disciplinary design development, including design coordination meetings, buildability review and client reviews. This includes the design interface agreement, sharing of developing design information and formal issue. To establish integrated design programmes by working with the design teams and planners, tracking and monitoring design deliverables using design trackers and design development logs. To assist the Project Manager with tracking design cost to complete against agreed deliverables and instructions. Implement the clients design process and Design Management Plan to allocated projects. Facilitate interdisciplinary design review meetings. Review and accept design documentation level of completeness prior to client submission, ensuring all design documentation is logged correctly Collate all necessary design information for Health & Safety file. To ensure all design meets with the necessary client specifications and any national standards using the support of technical specialists where necesary Carry out and implement technical governance (including requirements schedule) at the beginning of all projects. Hold Challenge workshops at commencement of project and at completion of outline design. Review Particular Specifications (PS) to ensure minimum required information is submitted for procurement. Any other duties commensurate with the position as may be assigned from time to time.
