About the role: We are looking to permanently recruit a full-time Child Protection Coordinator with responsibility for chairing child protection conferences. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and confident social work manager, child protection chair or independent reviewing officer who has a track record of delivering excellent services for children and families. You will join a small team of Child Protection Coordinators who are supportive of one another and committed to providing the best service for the children and families in Waltham Forest. Develop dynamic, SMART child protection plans. Ensure parents/carers and children are actively involved in child protection conferences. Ensure all statutory timescales in relation to child protection conferences are complied with. Monitor the implementation of child protection plans. Participate in a duty system. Participate in quality assurance activities. Qualifications and Requirements: To be considered for this position, you should meet the following requirements: You need to hold a social work qualification and be experienced at working at a management level in statutory social work. You need to be registered with Social Work England. You need to have an Enhanced DBS check. This role is office based which requires the candidate to chair in-person meetings.
