Position: Quantity Surveyor Location: Fife and Lothian Company: Our client is a highly reputable civil engineering contractor specialising in infrastructure and groundworks projects across Fife and Lothian. With a strong focus on commercial and residential projects, they maintain a long-standing reputation within the local market. Role Overview: Our client is experiencing sustained growth and is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project leaders to ensure the delivery of high-quality services, offer guidance on contract conditions and commercial matters, and maintain precise financial control. Responsibilities: Conduct monthly Cost Value Reconciliations. Maximise valuations, ensure timely certification and payment. Manage contract variations promptly. Forecast costs and value of all trades. Coordinate with the operational team to secure labour, materials, and subcontractors, ensuring timely and within-budget project completion. Monitor on-site progress and issue required notices according to contract procedures and timelines. Vet and ensure compliance of quotations with specifications, obtaining competitive bids. Prepare Final Accounts. Accurately manage subcontractor accounts to enhance contract efficiency. Requirements: Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent. 2-3 years of demonstrable Quantity Surveying experience within Civil Engineering Projects. Experience with NEC contracts is advantageous.
