BCA Vehicle Services is looking for a Workshop Controller to support operations in a busy bodyshop working with high volumes of vehicles. Your key responsibilities will be: Prioritise and delegate effectively, maintaining efficiency of body shop operations and maintaining high productivity levels via scheduling and managing work and resources. Ensure the maintenance of machinery and tools is carried out in a timely manner. Contribute to a professional bodyshop environment at all times. Encourage a ‘right first time’ attitude with all direct report staff, and identifying any training, development or monitoring needs as and when required. Maintain accuracy of job cards, ensuring processes are completed in a timely manner, and verifying staff compliance with standards and processes. Provide technical support when required. Lead by example – providing good housekeeping and security in the paint shop. Liaise with the parts and administration departments to ensure customers are kept up to date and any complaints/queries are resolved. Attend weekly customer review meetings. Achieve customer SLA’s/KPI’s Contribute to health and safety, ISO 9001, 14001 Environmental Management Standards Promote and implement company policies and procedures Develop and monitor processes in line with changing customer requirements, identifying improvements to operational methods and practices. Work to deadlines in a fast paced and pressurised environment. To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you: Experience in leading a team. Well-developed management and leadership skills Qualified Paint Technician (City and Guilds or equivalent) The ability to exceed targets and deadlines. Ability to work under pressure at peak periods, to meet vehicle ETA’s etc. Good time management and able to prioritise tasks and collect information effectively. Good computer skills with a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. A good technical background is desired. Demonstrate prior knowledge of the automotive industry. A body shop background, with experience mentoring or training other technicians.
