Each county has its own dedicated Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), the service has been commissioned to improve the immediate medical response and aftercare offered to victims of sexual assault and rape.
Mountain Healthcare are a specialist business already providing similar services to 20 other SARCs in locations across the UK. For this role you will work as the Regional Contract Director and will be responsible for SARC Regions and all activities related to the smooth running of the SARC.
About the Role:
* This role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Primary Monday - Friday 9am-5pm but as and when business needs.
* Salary: £52,000 - £56,200 per annum, depending on experience and is based on Full Time hours.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Commissioner/Contract Management
2. Accountable for the successful delivery of the Eastern region contracts
3. Overall financial performance of the Eastern contract
4. Overall commissioner satisfaction
5. Overall provision of the service model
6. Team leadership
7. Delivery of KPIs
8. Adherence to agreed quality standards
9. Continuous improvement & Meeting our regulators' standards
10. Growth of the existing contracts - sales targets
11. Identification of new opportunities for Mountain within their region
12. Reporting
13. Budget ownership - within delegated authorities
14. Own the stakeholder relationships - commissioners and other third parties
15. Regional influencer role - playing a strategic role in communicating what we do
16. Act as an ambassador for our service
17. Identify service gaps, potential business cases and new opportunities for growth
18. Foster good relationships with our commissioners and partner agencies
19. Accountable for ensuring that the end-to-end patient journey through our service is as good as it can possibly be
20. Identifying and solutioning new service areas for patients
21. To oversee the delivery of the clinical elements of SARC healthcare provision as set out in the Contracts
22. To act as the operational single point of contact (Ops SPOC) for Doctors
23. Clinical accountability for ensuring that our forensic service conforms to all relevant quality standards (CQC, UKAS, Mountain etc)
24. Accountable for ensuring that safeguarding is embedded throughout their service
25. Accountable for ensuring that the service conforms to best practice for medicines management
26. Multi Agency Working
27. Lead on regional operational groups
28. Engage with local safeguarding boards
29. Governance & Quality
30. CQC Registered Manager if required
31. Accountable for ensuring the QMS (QM, documented processes, audit frameworks etc) are up to date and fit for purpose
32. Accountable for ensuring the risk registers in their region, action plans (local, SI and CQC), asset register; information asset register are up to date and fit for purpose
33. Accountable for Health and safety across their region
34. Accountable for ensuring that PAIERs are properly actioned
35. Accountable for ensuring that investigations of serious incidents are properly completed
36. Accountable for ensuring that complaints are properly investigated and closed
37. Accountable for ensuring that patient satisfaction measures are met
38. Accountable for ensuring that all relevant audits are carried out
39. Accountable for ensuring that Information Asset Ownership is properly managed in their regions
40. Accountable for ensuring the activities to support Forensic Regulator accreditation are completed
41. Accountable for continually monitoring potential accreditations to identify those that we should sign up to in order to ensure that our patients have the best possible experience
42. Proactively manage service user feedback to drive continuous improvement
43. Be accountable for ensuring that serious case review; safeguarding rapid reviews for adults and children are completed to the required standard
44. Be accountable for records management and information governance within their region
45. For any SI, be accountable for ensuring that the NHSE escalation process is properly managed.
46. Ensure that the service is compliant with the audit schedule and ensure that action plans are completed
47. Accountable for ensuring that the needs of the criminal justice system are met (eg production of statements)
48. Ensure that requirements for reports for child protection proceedings are met
49. Oversight of forensic regulator requirements
50. Ensure that registered healthcare professionals under your management renew their registration as directed by their professional body.
51. Communicating to your teams, the importance of maintaining professional registrations at all times.
52. Maintaining a system to record relevant professional registrations, expiry and renewal dates of the staff you are responsible for.
53. Leadership
54. Have leadership responsibility for all the staff in the region - including performance management; MAST compliance; supervision; Rotamaster; interviewing; appraisals, sickness, signing off time sheets
55. Accountable for staff satisfaction
56. Direct line management of SARC Managers and other key members of the team as required
57. Take responsibility for staff wellbeing - ensuring that it is measured
58. Accountable for the service provided by the doctors in their areas
59. Promoting a positive culture within their region - promoting Mountain values and behaviours
60. Supporting research and quality improvement activities for the region
61. Take responsibility for communicating new initiatives and comms messages on behalf of the organisation as a whole
62. Play an active role in the senior leadership team within Mountain to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of its shareholders
63. Accountable for ensuring rota compliance across the region
64. Accountable for ensuring that their teams are compliant with MAST, vetting, revalidation, onboarding and offboarding and DBS
65. Training and Personal Development
66. Attend supervision for themselves and carry out supervision for their direct reports
67. Take personal responsibility to keep up to date with relevant guidance (eg FFLM, NHSE) so that our service remains safe
68. Take personal responsibility to keep up to date with CPD
69. If clinical, do a minimum of one clinical shift per month to ensure that they remain compliant with their registration and understand how the service is delivered at the frontline
70. To undertake Mandatory and Statutory Training in line with Mountain Healthcare policy
71. Accountable for their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of their teams
72. Ensure that all the required activities for revalidation are successfully completed (if applicable)
73. To undertake training in line with the objectives and PDP set at regular formal appraisals
