Millie’s Vets is an independent, single-site, forward-thinking companion animal practice serving the small market town of Congleton.
The practice opened in January 2022, and now has 3 vets (2.5FTE), 3 RVNs (2.5FTE), 3 receptionists, 1 VCA, and a part-time domestic assistant.
We are seeking an additional full-time vet, to work 4 weekdays per week, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays. We do not open on Sundays, and our out-of-hours is covered by MiNightVet, Stoke.
Key Features:
* 2 year old, well equipped practice.
* 20 minute appointments as routine.
* A client base who are genuinely grateful for our efforts.
* Prices which are fair and reasonable, allowing a good level of work up and treatment.
* DR x-ray, iM3 dental, ultrasound, and in-house blood machines.
* Visiting specialists as needed for Ultrasonography, Soft Tissue Surgery, and Orthopaedic Surgery.
In addition to the base salary, the package available includes all of the following (all pro-rata):
* £500 bonus on successful completion of the probation period.
* £3000 annual flexible allowance which can be used for any one or more of several options including: additional pension contributions, purchase additional time off, international CPD, add to salary.
* Regular work social events, usually paid for by the practice.
* Access to the Health Assured Employee Assistance Program.
* 4 paid days to attend CPD courses or conferences.
As a Millie’s Vet, you’d be joining our small but committed team to deliver exceptional care to the pets in our local community.
We are seeking 1 vet to work a minimum of 29 hours per week, but ideally a 38 hour full-time role. This could be either an experienced vet, seeking to work alongside the practice owner and other vets, or we could offer a Clinical Director type role, whereby you could bring prior CD experience to our small practice, to help raise our standards even further.
The salary for an assistant vet is £50k to £62k per annum pro-rata. Alternatively, a clinical director role would attract a base salary of £65k to £72k.
To apply, please send a cover letter and CV to jobs@MilliesVets.co.uk. Only Veterinary Surgeons who are already MRCVS are eligible - please provide your RCVS number with your application.
