UWCSEA Dover is looking for a Relief Technician to start as soon as possible.
The primary purpose and function of this role is to provide technical and design support to events, with a specific focus on sound and projection design. These events include Drama productions, Primary Arts Festivals, GC and other events as determined by the Head of Drama.
Main Responsibilities
* Operate lighting and sound equipment during rehearsal and performances.
* Execute cues accurately and promptly as required.
* Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless transition during shows.
* Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of technical equipment.
* Assist with stage changes and stage management as needed.
* Maintain and manage the College’s theatre resources, equipment and inventory, including maintenance of stores.
Person Specifications
* Experience in theatre production with a strong understanding of running stage cues.
* Proficient in operating lighting and sound systems would be a bonus; training will be provided.
* Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work with appropriate document and spreadsheet software to effectively coordinate and plan is essential.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Experience working with young people is a distinct advantage.
* Enthusiasm for working with young people is essential.
