Location : Newcastle – Upon – TyneHybrid working : No, this role is based on site 5 days a week. Key Responsibilities Deliver key technical projects aligned with organizational objectives. Independently plan and scope project work with accurate timeframes. Communicate updates and changes effectively to stakeholders and users throughout the project lifecycle. Lead or assist in achieving and maintaining relevant cybersecurity accreditations (e.g., ISO27001, Cyber Essentials). Regularly update project plans and ensure adherence to timelines. Lead or support the development, execution, operation, and maintenance of current and new systems. Support and maintain all aspects of IT infrastructure and services. Collaborate with external service providers to enhance infrastructure and network performance. Act as an escalation point for technical support queries. Mentor and support other IT team members. Recommend technical and process improvements for IT infrastructure and systems. Execute changes in a controlled and authorized manner following the Change Management process. Ensure compliance with Information Security Policies, including data confidentiality and operational security. Uphold the organization's core values. Perform additional duties as required by management, in line with the role’s level of responsibility. Measures of Success Successfully lead and deliver projects within agreed timelines, ensuring proper planning, implementation, documentation, and communication throughout. Provide effective IT support services both onsite and remotely. Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery and operational excellence. Maintain comprehensive documentation tailored for both technical and end-user audiences. Stay updated with emerging technologies and demonstrate a willingness to learn new tools and trends. Support the achievement and maintenance of relevant industry accreditations. Personal Skills Proven experience in leading and successfully delivering technical projects. Expertise in resolving complex infrastructure issues and handling escalations. Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, particularly VMWare and Azure IaaS. Experience mentoring and supporting team members while promoting best practices. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft platforms, including: M365 Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019) Windows 10, 11 SQL Server Microsoft Azure Microsoft Entra ID Solid understanding of networking components, network operating systems, and computer hardware. Ability to collaborate effectively towards shared goals and objectives. Strong attention to detail and thorough approach to tasks. Excellent organizational skills. Experience working effectively within a team in a commercial environment. Ability to anticipate and address potential issues with a solution-focused approach.
