Service/Repair Estimator - German Autocentre - Cheltenham
AUDI | VW | BMW | MERCEDES | SKODA | SEAT | MINI | CUPRA
Due to growth, we are recruiting a Service/Repair Mechanical and Electrical Estimator to join our team. Working closely with the Service Manager, Workshop Controller, Service Advisors, and our eight Technicians, you will be an integral part of the successful delivery of our premium service and repair products for our fabulous clients.
About us
PSC Autocentre has an unrivalled position as Gloucestershire’s Premier Independent Specialist German Vehicle Service Centre.
We pride ourselves in two primary areas:
* Offering a premium product delivery experience that is flawless, efficient, and attentive. Our clients expect the very best, and we’re committed to giving them the very best - each and every time they visit us.
* Our ability to successfully diagnose and rectify faults that others run away from. It's one of our core strengths, and one of the reasons our clients trust us to go the extra mile with their vehicle.
This new role is fundamental in ensuring both are delivered seamlessly.
About you
Do you have what it takes to be part of an ambitious business, committed to delivering outstanding results? Are you ready for your next career challenge in an industry-leading premium independent service centre?
We’re looking for someone with the following key attributes:
* Strong vehicle technical/electrical/mechanical awareness – an absolute must for this role. Ability to interpret back-of-house geeky jargon into front-of-house lingo - and vice versa.
* A firm grasp of how a successful business operates - the knowledge of how to drive profit and keep loss/wastage at an absolute minimum.
* You don’t require management oversight to produce quality results. Once you have some direction, you take responsibility for the work at hand and have the initiative, imagination, and motivation to get it done.
* You like to learn from others, to share knowledge and best practices. We’re a progressive team.
* You have excellent deductive reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. When it’s necessary to compromise to meet a deadline, you’re confident you can make the right decisions to achieve a balanced result.
* Excellent organisational skills and time-management, capable of juggling an ever-changing, fast-paced and demanding workload.
* Adaptable, not easily flustered, and thriving in a fast-paced busy environment.
* Fabulous people skills – great at building lasting relationships with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
* Excellent communication skills – both written and spoken.
* Exceptional service experience delivery that guarantees our customers keep returning – as well as singing our praises to their friends and family.
* At least two years' experience in a similar role, within a prestige independent or main dealer. (We will consider candidates who are currently Senior Service Advisors, Workshop Controllers, or Parts Advisors wishing to advance their career.)
* You’re not comfortable unless you’re at the top of your game.
About the role
As the unbreakable link between front and back-of-house you will be responsible for supporting our two exceptional Service Advisers and Workshop Controller. You will efficiently produce accurate service or repair estimates that are in the best interests of our business and our clients, as well as considering the varied skills of the workforce, the priorities of the business, and the cost implications.
Your Main Duties include:
* Ensuring the workshop operates efficiently and profitably through the effective use of labour resources, materials, and equipment.
* Supporting the front of house team and workshop controller by taking a pro-active approach to business growth.
* Liasing with and maintaining relationships with our excellent parts suppliers and ordering parts.
* Ensuring estimates are produced swiftly, accurately, and to the highest quality standards.
This role comes with:
* £30,000 basic salary with an uncapped bonus scheme with a realistic and highly achievable OTE of £36,000 per annum.
* Working hours Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:30 pm (we've broken with convention and do not open Saturdays!)
* 25 days holiday per annum [plus 8 national Bank Holidays]
* Pension scheme
