Job summary An exciting opportunity has become available for a pharmacy technician to join the Logistics team at the Royal Derby Hospital. Your role will be to support the Chief Pharmacy Technicians in the day-to-day management of the pharmacy distribution and procurementservices provided from the Pharmacy Stores department at the Royal Derby Hospital. Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians (PTPTs) due to register as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC by May 2025 are eligible to apply for this post. Main duties of the job To lead the annual ward stock list review process liaising with Divisional pharmacists and Ward/Theatre Managers as required, including being responsible for the collection, reporting and analysis of additional stock requests. To lead and support the management, development and delivery of the distribution and procurement related education and training of pre-registration trainee pharmacy technicians and support staff. To support the chief technicians to maintain, develop and implement policies and procedures to improve service and reduce risk. To assist the chief technicians with the recruitment, return to work, annual leave allocation and appraisal of delegated staff.
