Edinburgh is an exciting city with excellent opportunities to join us and contribute towards helping all our citizens flourish. The Edinburgh City Health & Social Care Partnership (EHSCP) is on a journey to transform the way in which Social Work delivers support and services. We support adults and older adults with multiple and complex needs to live as independently as possible. We work effectively together to ensure that the most vulnerable within our city get the right service, in the right place and at the right time. A key priority is promoting more effective early intervention and preventative supports.
We are looking for qualified Social Workers, including those with the MHO qualification, Practice Educator qualification, and Student Social Workers who are due to qualify this year. We seek individuals who are energetic, imaginative, creative, and resilient, committed to making a real difference to the lives of adults in Edinburgh. Trauma-informed, relationship and strengths-based social work is at the heart of our practice. You will undertake statutory tasks including assessments and support planning, risk assessment and risk management. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting adults, their families, and carers, balancing the complex areas of risk and need with choice and rights. You will provide advice, support, guidance, and interventions for adults at risk of harm under the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 or Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000.
You will work in a supportive, well-established team and have regular supervision and training.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. An unconditional offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory outcomes of both pre-employment checks.
We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included, and able to be their best at work. We recognize the benefits that a diverse workforce brings to us as an organization.
