About Us
Tunbridge Wells Borough Council’s Buildings and Projects Team’s purpose is to deliver maintenance to a diverse portfolio of some 270 council properties, including the listed Town Hall & Theatre, Community Assets including the Amelia Building, Sports and Leisure Centres, Car Parks, access roads, Crematorium & Parks buildings and tenanted housing and commercial properties. The team also deliver capital reinvestment and improvement projects.
About the Role
As Building Services Engineer you will project manage a variety of planned and reactive maintenance works alongside larger capital projects. You will develop and maintain key relationships with stakeholders, including client facing services, support services, supply chain and partner organisations to ensure statutory compliance and provide an excellent engineering service working within the Council’s priorities, processes and rising to the many challenges faced by the Council.
You will join a strong, professional Buildings and Property Team (Property Manager, Building Surveyors, Building Services Engineers and Architectural Surveyor).
The Council has embarked on a challenging carbon descent plan that you will play a key role in delivering.
About You
You will be a well organised, strong team player with the ability to support colleagues (and vice versa) whilst managing and prioritising your own workload. You will maintain a high level oversight alongside the ability to dive into detail to diagnose issues and manage their resolution.
You will be resilient and able to deliver in an environment with a diverse make-up of stakeholders, with differing priorities. Your communication skills will be utilised to your full capability.
