Occupational Therapist
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Acute Adult Inpatient Services team in Newcastle.
This exciting opportunity allows you to work within a multidisciplinary environment, delivering therapeutic services to adults in an acute inpatient setting. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting patients in their recovery journey by assessing and addressing their functional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' occupational needs and functional abilities
* Develop and implement personalized therapeutic treatment plans to support patients' rehabilitation and recovery
* Provide individual and group therapy sessions focusing on improving daily living skills, cognitive function, and social interaction
* Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care for patients
* Offer advice and support to patients, families, and staff on managing daily tasks and coping strategies
* Maintain accurate clinical records and document treatment progress
* Participate in clinical meetings and case reviews to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
* Contribute to the development and improvement of therapy services within the unit
Requirements:
* A recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy (BSc, MSc, or equivalent)
* Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration
Estimated salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
