Location: The role will be based in our Edinburgh office and be office-based for the first 6 months before moving to the option of a home/office split.

Salary and benefits: £28,500 to £31,500 dependant on experience, plus 8% bonus up to 16%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more.

The role:
We are currently recruiting Trainee Customer Consultants to join our Telephony Guidance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy building rapport and putting customers at the heart of what they do. If you have a burning desire to help customers and put in place the plans they need for their future, we would love to hear from you.
You will provide guidance to customers across our pension product range, demonstrating your understanding of their situations and needs by keeping them informed of all relevant options, risks, and benefits, as well as explaining any technical questions in a simple, compliant, and jargon-free manner.
You will be on a pathway to becoming a fully qualified Customer Consultant. At Phoenix, we commit to investing in your future, providing support for you to obtain the required R01 & R04 qualifications. The programme includes ongoing training and development that will enable you to progress to full competence and takes around 18 to 24 months.
What are we looking for?
* Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service within Financial Services
* A commitment to studying and achieving Financial Services qualifications R01 and R04, along with achieving full competence and progressing to Customer Consultant within 24 months
* Experience of conducting customer-focused conversations
* Effective questioning and listening skills with the ability to build rapport with customers over the telephone
* Preferably knowledge of pension products and experience in managing risk
