About the Role:
As a QA Lab Technician, you will be a vital part of the Quality Assurance team, ensuring product safety, legality, and compliance with internal and external quality standards. You will work cross-functionally to maintain the company's IFS Higher Level certification and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Salary: £13.00 an hour
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct sampling and analysis of goods in, including density and moisture testing
* Perform blend build checks and approvals
* Prepare and manage internal products tasting sessions and related equipment
* Commission samples for external lab analysis, including physical preparation and documentation
* Administer submission forms, lab tables, and sample labelling
* Record and manage test results in SAP
* Assist with new product development and flavour granule release
* Escalate and report any quality, safety, or compliance issues
Requirements
Experience & Knowledge:
* Prior experience within a Quality Management System environment (food industry preferred)
* Knowledge of IFS or BRC standards (Higher or AA status)
* Strong understanding of production and warehouse procedures
* Familiarity with organic standards and QMS protocols
Technical Skills:
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Competence in SAP or similar systems (preferred)
* Strong administrative and documentation skills
Education & Certifications:
* Level 2 Food Hygiene
* Level 2 HACCP
* Understanding of GMP and food safety legislation

* High attention to detail and thoroughness
* Effective time management and organisational skills
* Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork
