Fluid Dynamics Engineer – Power Transmission & Rotating Equipment\n\nBased in London | £50,000–£60,000 + Bonus + Benefits | Permanent, Full-time\n\nI am recruiting two experienced Fluidrive Engineers to join a growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a site-based role working within the field of power transmission systems and rotating machinery, supporting a diverse customer base across industries such as oil & gas, rail, marine, mining, energy, and heavy mechanical engineering.\n\nThis is a unique opportunity to work on high-performance drive systems, combining hands-on engineering, technical design, and customer-facing collaboration.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Create and revise technical and manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD and Siemens NX\n\n * \n\n Maintain technical records and ensure drawings meet BS 8888 standards\n\n * \n\n Manage engineering documentation through Team Centre\n\n * \n\n Liaise with internal teams, field service engineers, and international partners\n\n * \n\n Support product overhauls, repairs, and new system designs\n\n * \n\n Own and resolve technical NCRs relating to Fluidrive products\n\n * \n\n Provide engineering input to support sales, purchasing, and quality teams\n\n * \n\n Visit suppliers and assist with casting, machining, and manufacturing processes\n\n * \n\n Collaborate with customers across the UK, Ireland, and overseas\n\nRequired Skills & Experience:\n\n * \n\n Minimum 8 years’ experience in mechanical design/manufacturing\n\n * \n\n HND or higher in Mechanical Engineering\n\n * \n\n Skilled in AutoCAD, Siemens NX, and Team Centre\n\n * \n\n Knowledge of engineering change, document control, and BS 8888\n\n * \n\n Strong grasp of non-ferrous casting processes and ISO 9001:2015\n\n * \n\n Experience with rotating equipment, gear units, couplings, or drive systems\n\n * \n\n Commercial awareness and excellent technical communication skills\n\n * \n\n A hands-on, adaptable team player with a passion for mechanical engineering\n\nWhat’s in It for You:\n\n * \n\n Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)\n\n * \n\n Annual bonus (pro rata on year of joining)\n\n * \n\n 36.5-hour work week: Mon–Thurs 8:30–16:30, Fri 8:30–15:30\n\n * \n\n 25 days holiday + bank holidays (pro rata on joining)\n\n * \n\n Company pension: 6% employer / 3% employee\n\n * \n\n Life assurance and salary sacrifice schemes\n\n * \n\n Private healthcare and dental cover\n\n * \n\n Cycle to work scheme and more\n\nBe Part of Something Driven\n\nIf you’re a self-motivated, technically strong engineer with a drive to solve real-world problems in power transmission and mechanical systems, we want to hear from you.\n\nApply now to take your engineering career to the next level
