Job Description:
The role of the Scientific & Regulatory Policy Coordinator is a new role within the team working closely with the Director General and BSNA Team managers to ensure the objectives of all member groups are met. The role includes the following responsibilities.
Operational Responsibilities:
* Attending member meetings as agreed with the Director General - drafting agendas, minutes and undertaking agreed actions.
* Co-ordinating logistical arrangements of stakeholder visits to our member premises and sector education sessions in collaboration with the Public Affairs Manager, Medical Nutrition Manager and Scientific and Regulatory Policy Manager.
* Staying informed and horizon scanning for all relevant nutritional, scientific and regulatory developments, in conjunction with the Public Affairs Manager and communicate all relevant information to member companies and external organisations as appropriate.
* Administrative support for stakeholder engagement.
* Assisting in logistical arrangements for BSNA events, such as attending and exhibiting at conferences, webinars and workshops relevant to our member group objectives.
* Supporting the development and implementation of BSNA external and internal communications such as the association’s website, social media, calendar of events and producing materials or content in collaboration with the Public Affairs Manager and Executive Assistant.
* Representing BSNA at external meetings and related stakeholder discussions as agreed with the Director General.
* Undertaking administrative and other appropriate duties as assigned by the Director General to ensure the efficient operation of the Secretariat and Association.
Working Relationships:
To report to the Director General and to work with the Public Affairs Manager, Medical Nutrition Manager, Scientific and Regulatory Policy Manager, Executive Assistant, Associations and Industry Representatives as well as Government, FSA and other bodies to achieve objectives.
Requirements:
· Proven experience in a similar role.
· Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software.
· Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
