Position: Experienced Health & Safety Advisor
Location: South Coast, with future works in Surrey, Somerset, Bristol, Hampshire & Dorset
Company: Leading tier 1 contractor
Role Overview: As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will manage the Safety, Health, Environment & Quality systems from the pre-construction phase through to handover. This role involves regular client liaison, SHEQ Guidance, supporting bid & tender stages, carrying out risk assessments, method statements, and CDM plans, and overseeing inductions and the development of SHEQ material and training.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead projects as the NO.1 SHEQ support, holding ultimate responsibility for health & safety standards across sites.
2. Work closely with the Regional SHEQ Manager, Operations Managers, and Site Teams.
3. Conduct regular risk assessments and develop method statements and CDM plans.
4. Provide SHEQ guidance and support during bid & tender stages.
5. Responsible for inductions and training related to SHEQ standards.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Health & Safety Advisor within an established main contracting organization.
2. Relevant NEBOSH certificate.
3. Strong client and site team management skills.
4. Knowledge of SHEQ standards.
5. Drive for self-development and policy & procedure enhancement.
