A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Production Planner at a Leicester based food manufacturing company.
The successful Production Planner will create the production planning at both sites as and when required, liaising with central planning team/production/warehouse/quality/maintenance.
You will create the weekly staff planning as and when required, liaising with Production Manager, Method Engineer supply chain and agency coordinator as well as preparing staff weekly payroll documents.
The Production Planner will manage the stock, placing orders. checking daily consumption, receiving all orders in the system and also support all customer/third party visits and audits.
You will identify, analyse and interpret trends or patterns within both site performances, using this data analysis to optimise production planning and achieving targets for main operation indicators.
It is essential that you work closely with the operations team and assist the Production Team in meeting production, quality and HACCP targets.
Required skills and competencies our client is looking for:
Previous experience in production planning in a similar environment.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Commercial awareness.
Computer literate (Excel advance & Access).
Excellent analytical skills.
Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate production and business needs.
Successfully pass and hold a current Level 2 Food Safety certificate.
This is a permanent role, salary is £36,000 plus company benefits.
