Our Opportunity The purpose of the role is to provide support to the business to drive progress towards a goal of achieving zero product quality issues & zero customer complaints for production quality issues. Engaging with all departments to implement & maintain quality controls & systems which will prevent potential product issues from occurring. As our Quality Technician, you will have the following responsibilities: Quality Control: Inspection and verification of components and products against specifications, drawings and standards (Production order sample inspection, Spare part order inspection, Incoming Goods inspection). Support the business with measuring and verifying component dimensions and characteristics against drawings and specifications to support in product issue preventative actions. Ensure nonconforming components and products are managed effectively to prevent customer complaints. Quality Assurance: Raise and report product nonconformances from inspection activities and lead problem solving activities to drive the implementation of preventative actions. Analyse production output and identify opportunities for improvement. Pro-actively educate Production Team Members on all aspects of Quality. Support in the review of Process FMEA and Control Plans. Investigate and analyse product nonconformance data and drive problem solving activities with the Production, Production Engineering & CI departments. Support global locations with Quality related queries and requests. Conduct Internal Audits against the requirements of ISO9001. Manage the actions from Internal Audit findings ensuring closure in the required timeframe. Administration: Manage the control of nonconforming components and materials in the company MRP system (Syspro). Produce reports pertaining to Quality Control activities for the management team. Develop and maintain inspection instructions and guides. Communicate quality issues to all departments. Review and improve production quality control mechanisms.
