There are dedicated and inclusive schools around Norwich that aim to provide high-quality education to all students. We are looking for a skilled and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team and support students with special educational needs in a positive and supportive learning environment. Beginning April 2025.
Duties as a SEN Teacher:
* Plan and deliver personalised lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with special educational needs.
* Work closely with the SENCO and other professionals to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
* Provide support to students both in and outside of the classroom, ensuring they are fully included in all activities.
* Use a range of strategies and resources to help students reach their full potential.
* Monitor and assess the progress of students, providing feedback and adapting teaching methods as needed.
* Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and other school staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Ideal SEN Teacher:
* A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS) and experience teaching students with special educational needs.
* Knowledge of strategies and interventions for students with a range of learning difficulties.
* The ability to differentiate lessons and provide tailored support for individual students.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* A compassionate and patient approach to teaching, with a focus on improving student outcomes.
