We are looking to appoint a Medical Secretary to provide comprehensive secretarial and administration support to the Emergency Department Team., You will have previous medical secretarial and administrative experience, preferably in a health care setting, to provide secretarial support to the clinical Director, Clinical Lead and the Consultant team
You will be required to answer telephone calls and take messages, from external and internal contacts and deal with sensitive information.
You will be required to set up Teams calls and take minutes of the meetings.
Complete post duties and take live dictation on an ad hoc basis.
Prepare notes and slides for information meetings.
Cover for other members of the Secretarial team when needed.
You should be able to work as part of a busy team as well as having excellent communication, interpersonal skills and work to deadlines. The successful applicant with have a flexible approach and be able to work on their own initiative. You should be competent in using microsoft office and previous medical terminology knowledge is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
You should have a knowledge of Office and Outlook (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and internet) along with advanced typing/word processing skills.
