We are a husband and wife in our early 90s and late 80s who are looking to employ a personal assistant(s).
We require support with activities of daily living, specifically:
1. Breakfast preparation
2. Changing of bed linen
3. Laundry
4. Support with medication
5. Personal care (washing, showering if desired, and dressing, including donning support stockings)
We both use mobility aids to get around the house and require prompting with some tasks due to mild cognitive impairment. Experience of working with clients with Alzheimer’s is desired but not essential.
We have been allocated the following support:
* 2 hours in the morning x 7 days
* 2 hours in the evening x 7 days
Hours will be mornings 09:00-11:00 and evenings 17:30-19:30. This will be discussed further at interview.
We will offer £15 per hour but this is negotiable for the right candidate. Due to the rural location of our home, access to your own transport is essential.
We are looking for someone who is caring, compassionate, kind, respectful, and trustworthy. The right candidate must be reliable.
A PVG is required for this role, and we will consider job sharing.
