Join our Centre for Childbirth, Women’s and Newborn Health (CWNH) in this exciting opportunity to contribute to the NIHR Global Health Research Programme addressing the prevention and management of stillbirth and neonatal deaths globally. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting high-quality research that aims to save lives and improve maternal and newborn health in low-resource settings. Key Responsibilities The Research Associate will work on delivering the objectives of an established research programme, which involves multidisciplinary collaboration across eight countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Responsibilities include: Research Coordination : Facilitating and coordinating data collection activities, including liaising with international research partners. Data Management : Supporting data analysis and ensuring robust management practices. Capacity Building : Coordinating training sessions and workshops for international partners. Knowledge Dissemination : Contributing to the development of publications, guidelines, blogs, and learning tools to share research findings widely. Reporting : Providing regular progress updates, monitoring project milestones, and preparing reports for funders and stakeholders. Stakeholder Engagement : Supporting the research team in engaging with local and global stakeholders to promote effective knowledge exchange and collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess the following: A Master’s degree in a relevant field. Proven experience in maternal and newborn health research or a related area. Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and engage effectively with stakeholders. Strong understanding of research methods and the ability to critique and synthesize academic literature. Experience in coordinating data collection and managing projects in low-resource settings.
