What you'll do
Our HGV drivers are kept busy in this role to get our customers back on the road quickly. You will work within a team of other drivers reporting to your Transport Controller.
As an HGV Driver, you will collect and deliver vehicles before and after repair, working to deadlines to meet our customer's needs. This will include:
* Responsibility for collecting and delivering cars within the agreed timescales, ensuring that the customer receives the very best possible service on collection and delivery of their car, ensuring all cash and credit card transactions are accounted for and that all transactions are processed following company procedures.
* Completing forms to indicate any damage on the car and specify accident-related damage and highlight any old damage, take digital photographs - and gain a signature from the customer.
* Highlighting any defects identified during loading/unloading of vehicles or as identified at the handover of the vehicle to the customer and bring to the attention of the Production Manager.
* Ensuring all jobs are referenced and filed on completion of the job.
What you'll need:
This is a permanent role of 40 hours a week. You will need:
* HGV Class C driver
* Previous experience in a similar role with skills such as:
o Experience driving HGV class 2 vehicles and within recovery.
o Customer-focused with great customer handling skills.
o Knowledge of the area local to our repair centre.
o A current valid driving license, which meets the fleet insurance criteria and holds a Class 'C' LGV Licence.
o A Driver 'Certificate of Professional Competence' (CPC).
Health and Safety and working to industry standards are important to us. We ensure our teams and customers' safety at each stage of the repair process, ensuring tasks are carried out in compliance with Health and Safety and following Audatex estimates, observing DLGAS ways of working and BS10125 procedures.
