Job Title: Quality Engineer Location: Glascoed Salary: £42,132 What you'll be doing: Review of quality requirements for new and existing contracts and development of Quality Plans Assuring compliance to ISO9001:2015 in business functions such as Central Engineering and Commercial Co-ordinating central quality initiatives and activities that span across multiple Land UK sites Collecting, monitoring and analysing quality data from across the business functions, to provide insight into operational performance (and co-ordinating communication to employees and management at all levels) Overseeing the creation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems within our business functions Driving and supporting targeted Continuous Improvement activities Supporting resolution of quality issues, the internal audit process, and external audits Your skills and experiences: Essential: Excellent numeracy, written and oral communication skills Knowledge and experience of assuring compliance to ISO9001:2015 within business functions Ability to effectively co-ordinate data collection whenever necessary to inform business decision Desirable: Qualification in an engineering discipline or time served in an engineering discipline - Engineering, Maths or Science degree or equivalent Proven experience within quality management in a manufacturing business preferably of a similarly highly controlled nature (aerospace, automotive, nuclear, medical devices, etc.) Demonstrable experience in Continuous Improvement Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
