Join our Team at the Children's Community Nursing Team at Kingston Hospital.
Are you an experienced Children's Community Nurse ready for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Kingston team, the Paediatric Outreach Nursing Team (PONT) who have recently integrated with the Richmond children's community nursing team.
We are seeking a dedicated Children's Nurse to bring their clinical expertise to our team. The team provides acute and long-term care to babies, children, and young people living in the community with conditions such as Oncology/haematology, short and long term Intravenous antibiotics (IVAB), complex needs, and wound care.
Main duties of the job
1. Requires the ability to work autonomously and within a collaborative nursing team.
2. Involvement in acute and long-term condition treatments and the teaching of patients, families, and student nurses.
3. To provide an acute paediatric community nursing service to the local area, supporting and working closely with the Paediatric Department, Paediatric oncology shared care centre (POSCU), and specialist nurses.
4. Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team, tertiary centres, and local services and agencies to provide care closer to home for children and their families/carers.

Qualifications
* RSCN/RNC
* IV certificate
* Cytotoxic workbook
Experience
* Experience with enteral feeding
* Teaching children, young people, families, carers, and other professionals
* Experience of working alongside multidisciplinary teams
* Experience with working with children with complex needs
Additional Experience
* Up to date knowledge of safeguarding children and young people
* Ability to work autonomously
* Experience with home ventilation and tracheostomy care
