Butler Rose are delighted to have been exclusively appointed to support our client a professional services organisation who have a current requirement for a Procurement Manager on a permanent basis. The role's aim will be to implement an overall procurement strategy and to deliver maximum efficiency and productivity for the organisation, in addition to bringing a wealth of technical procurement experience that will allow you to operate as a subject matter expert to the business for all things relating to the agreement and management of supplier and client contracts. The role is home based with the requirement to be on site at the companies head office in London, once or twice per month. The role would suit a procurement professional with experience in services/indirect spend. Duties include: Support the development, implementation, and management of the Procurement strategy, ensuring customer satisfaction, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including market analysis, strategic supplier sourcing, tendering, pricing, contract negotiation and supplier on boarding. Implement and manage a supplier tiering structure based on performance. Lead proactive supplier management, including regular performance reviews, supply chain consolidation, and demonstrating value to stakeholders. Act as a key business partner for resolving performance or commercial issues, owning escalations to achieve timely resolution. Drive continuous improvement by simplifying and automating processes to enhance efficiency. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers ranging from specialists to multinationals. Maintain a firm but fair approach in supplier dealings, handling challenges professionally. Incorporate environmental and ethical considerations into supply chain decisions to support sustainability goals. To be chosen for the role: CIPS qualified or qualifying desired but not essential Experience of Services/Indirect Procurement (as opposed to commodity) is required. Demonstration of the understanding of Procurement and Supply Chain processes, contract interpretation / drafting, supplier performance management, and using data analytical techniques to draw meaningful conclusions. Experience of using technology platforms to secure best value and/or leading reverse auctions Knowledge of public sector procurement is desirable but not essential. Confident in developing and managing senior stakeholder and supplier relationships. Proven ability to be agile and adaptive to any scenario, relying on your experience to recommend the right course of action even in pressurised situations.
