The Economic Implementation Team within the West Yorkshire Combined Authority is expanding rapidly due to the influx of new funds.
The Economic Implementation Team, which is an integral part of the Policing Environment and Place Directorate, has a diverse and wide-ranging portfolio including delivery of Clean Growth, Natural Flood Management, Brownfield Housing, and Economic Regeneration programmes.
In 2021, the £1.8bn devolution deal was secured for West Yorkshire. This meant the first Mayor of West Yorkshire was subsequently elected, with Tracy Brabin taking up post in May 2021. The devolution deal and election of the Mayor has enabled us to start to drive up living standards for local communities while tackling the climate emergency and helping to deliver our commitment to become a net zero carbon city region by 2038.
We are seeking to appoint skilled, dedicated, and experienced Principal Project Managers to join our friendly and professional team across the following areas:
1. Brownfield Housing Fund (BHF) (3 Roles)
The BHF programme is a Government-funded programme to deliver £89m of funds by March 2025, so close partnership working, commercial negotiations, and strong contract management is required to ensure 5400-7800 homes commence construction on site within the funding period and to budget.
2. British Library North (1 Role)
As part of our West Yorkshire Devolution deal, the Combined Authority has been allocated £25 million to support the development of a British Library for the North. Currently, the preferred site is the Grade 1 listed building, Temple Works, located in the Southbank area of Leeds.

You will have the following key skills, attributes, education, and experience:
* Stakeholder, Contract, and partnership management
