A prestigious heritage museum in London is offering the opportunity for an IT Service Manager to support the IT infrastructure for its commercial operations including ticket sales, retail, and museum-related applications. The role ensures that systems enabling over £50m in ticket sales and retail revenue run smoothly, providing vital support for the museum's commercial and visitor services.
As IT Service Manager, you will work closely with both internal stakeholders (Ticketing, Retail, Sales, Finance, Visitor Services, Digital Services) and external suppliers, ensuring smooth operations across a wide range of systems and platforms. You will also play a key role in driving continuous service improvements, managing ITIL-based incident processes, and delivering key IT support services.
Requirements for IT Service Manager (Museum)
To succeed in this role, you should have a proven background managing commercial IT services and infrastructure (ticketing, retail, sales, etc.), ideally within a museum or similar heritage organisation.
* Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks and demonstrable experience managing support teams.
* Ability to manage multiple external suppliers to ensure service delivery and performance.
* Proven track record of supporting multi-site IT environments.
* Experience maintaining compliance in commercial environments, including familiarity with standards like PCI DSS.
The salary is up to £55,000 with a wider benefits package including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (rising to 30 days depending on length of service), non-contributory pension plan (15%), complimentary lunch on-site, and benefits to support your physical and mental wellbeing.
